11. Lib Dub $$MONEYYYYY!
Winning $10,000 was big for our school! With this money, we should have a lot of things being tended to. Not being a nagger, but I would like to be able to pee without holding the door the entire time, so locks on the bathroom doors would be a great step up. Also, we should get more books, or at least new ones. I'm a reader and I love to just sit back and relax and enjoy a great book, truthfully CHS has a good variety of books but some are just duplicates of other schools and we really don't have that many to choose from. A lot of people are thinking that this money is going toward the football program here at CHS, but I know with Alex Nelson in charge he will not let it all go to waste. Yes I agree that some of the amenities at the football field are not up to par, and if we could do more to the restrooms we wouldn't be getting that many complaints when it comes to having to use the restroom at the games. I would also like think that some of this money would be going the technology for our school, yeahh getting a new server is A LOT more than what we have been awarded but it wouldn't hurt to help out just a little. The main thing that this money should go for is the students that put this thing together, at least give them a little scholarship money. They worked hard on this and to earn it for the whole school was a big deal! Giving the main 5 or 6 that put this thing together at least $200-$300 of scholarship money would be the best pay back for them since they are now graduating and leaving CHS.
10. Legend of El Cid
Rodrigo Diaz Vivar (1040-1099) first served as a general under Sancho II until the king was murdered. Suspicion had fallen upon his successor King Alfonso VI. According to the legends, El Cid had made him swear an oath that he had nothing to do with the assassination of his brother. He was later forced into exile and became a mercenary at the head of his own combined Christian/Muslim army. He even fought for the Moors before being recalled to fight for a now threatened King Alfonso.
El Cid was born into minor nobility, Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar was raised in a royal household and was appointed the standard-bearer and commander of troops by Sancho II. Fighting for Sancho against Sancho's brother, Alfonso, would prove awkward to Díaz when Sancho died childless and Alfonso became king. Though he lost some prestige, he married Alfonso's niece, Jimena; and, despite his presence serving as a magnet for Alfonso's opponents, Díaz served loyally for several years. Then, after leading an unauthorized raid into Toledo, Díaz was exiled. El Cid displayed remarkable military ability in his conquest of Valencia, which he successfully captured in 1094 and ruled in Alfonso's name until he died.

8. Telenovela
Amor Mío. Monday; May 23, 2011; 8:15 pm. Raúl Araiza, Vanessa Guzmán, and Ricardo Fastlicht are some of the characters. It's a romantic comedy, really cute and funny show. I watched it with English subtitles and the things they say are so much like our sayings. It's pretty much like watching Young and the Restless but just a funnier version. (:
6. La Poesia..
If You Forget Me by Pablo Neruda.. Truth is, Google works wonders! (:
The poem speaks volumes. Words describe feelings in a brilliant way, more than I could ever imagine. He really worked this one to be a very passionate and loving poem, has a very high standard to the point it tries to put across. Has become one of my favorite..
Friends by Krista Dennis (8th Grade Poetry Project)
Good friends will always support you,
Bad friends turn out to use you.
You should figure out who to trust,
Good looking friends may cause you to look at them with lust.
True friends will be with you til the end,
You can trust them to be there to defend.
Good friends are easy to point out,
When it comes to trusting... Don't doubt.

Panamá anyone?
The fist thing to do is take a city tour, visiting Casco Viejo, the Spanish colonial city and the modern skyscraper city. You need to also take a tour to the Panamal Canal, not seeing the canal is like going to Egypt and not seeing the pyramids! Bringing at least no less than $1,500 on your vacationing trip if you plan on visting places (transportation) and eating at the primier resturants. There are many places to eat and many varieties of food to choose from; Asian, European, French, Italian, Seafood, Steak and Chicken, and of course Mexican food.

9. Can you sing the Parts of the Bodyyy?
Spanish Video- El Cuerpo (Parts of the body)
These boys have come up with a way to explain the parts of the body in a cute and funny way. They wrote a song that includes the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, knees, legs, arms, and hair. They even came up with a little dance that goes with what they are doing. The video is hilarious but you can also learn quite a bit from it, well from what they give you.. They say it enough that you just get the song stuck in your head so you're learning pretty much what they are always telling you. I wouldn't mind watching a video like this to learn from, but I still think our class could make a better one hahahah.

5. Childhood(:
Growing up, I went to White Lake Campground every weekend for the entire summer. I met a lot of people and are still friends with them to this day. (: We went down to Goldstand's Beach on the warm summer nights and spent all our money on the go-carts and put-put. People had cookouts every Saturday night, it was a close family-like relationship with everybody who came down.
Growing up, my mom and I took a trip out to Maggie Valley every fall to go horseback riding at Cataloochie Ranch. That's where I bonded with my mom and had gotten really close with her, we talked about everything that was on our minds and we didn't let anything stop us from spilling our guts. When we had those moments I wouldn't have changed them for the world, they made me into what I am now. <3
Growing up, I went to North Dakota to visit my mom's side of the family. We had cookouts and went to the pool when it was warm enough. We visited in the winter also, but that was rare because of all the snow they got. My grandparents spoiled me and gave me everything I wanted because we hardly ever saw them. I miss my family up there and I want to go back soon.
Growing up, I visited Bele-Chere, a 3-day music/art festival in Asheville, NC, with my aunt and uncle. My uncle has family up there so we stayed with them and went downtown all day Saturday and we listened to bands and looked at art, it was the highlight of my summers. It was so boiling hot that when we walked down the street we were covered in sweat, as nasty as it sounds, it was not that bad because everybody was the same way. We spent tons of time in the musems and shops located on Main St. that were filled with evreything you could think of.
